Once or twice in our lives, we experience the presence of someone, not your usual encounter though, but something exquisite, like a breeze of fresh air, almost knocking you over with its arrival, and I must admit that was my experience I met you, I first made sure I wasn’t in a deep slumber, cause I tend to fall asleep and wake up unsure of my surroundings, but this was definitely not one of those moments, I was wide awake and alert, and you arrived, you had a certain walk, confidence and elegance, and your skin, you had definitely been Sun Kissed, all this and more made you UNFORGETTABLE

And when I look at you, I can't help but to smile, thinking of the future of our daughters, beyond thankful that they have women like you to look up to, displaying that you can be beautiful and smart, stylish and ambitious, breaking down every barrier put before you, making sure people understand why Rosa Parks didn't get up from her seat, and making sure they don't mistake our melanin as just another color of the rainbow, this rich color of black is more then gold, make sure you bow and kiss the hands of our queens, black queens, we love you, all of you.

Do you mind if I sit down with you for a second?, I know you don't know me, but there's something about you, from your smile to your style, you've got this halo above your head, and I think I may be the only one that paid attention to it, by any chance are you a angel?, or maybe you're a queen, and I mistaken your crown for a halo, apologies I left my glasses in the car, but don't need them to see the melanin you display, effortlessly enchanting, but hey I won't take too much of your time, just wanted to appreciate and admire your beauty, and maybe get your name... in case you didn't get mine, I'm Eddie... nice to meet you.
